Ballymena Chamber Supports Mayor’s Charity Ball at Galgorm

Ballymena Area Chamber of Commerce and Industry was proud to attend the prestigious Mayor’s Charity Ball, hosted by Jackson Minford, Mayor of Mid and East Antrim Borough Council.

Held in the stunning Great Hall at Galgorm, part of the renowned Galgorm Collection, the evening brought together the local business community, civic leaders and supporters for a truly memorable occasion in aid of two outstanding charities.

The Mayor’s Charity Ball highlighted vital fundraising efforts for both Northern Ireland Children's Hospice and Chest Heart and Stroke—two organisations that provide essential care and support to individuals and families across Northern Ireland.

Throughout his tenure, Councillor Jackson Minford has been a strong advocate for Ballymena’s business community and local causes, and this event further demonstrated his commitment to making a meaningful difference.

A Powerful and Moving Evening

One of the most impactful moments of the evening came from Elaine McBride, who shared a deeply personal and powerful reflection on her family’s journey.

Her story highlighted how the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice has been a lifeline for her son Sam and their wider family, offering care, compassion and support during incredibly challenging times. Her words resonated with all in attendance, reinforcing the importance of continued support for these vital services.
