Award Recognition for Local Company

Antrim based company heatboss were recognised at the recent Green Biz Conference and Award ceremony for their product’s contribution to improving the environment.

The event, hosted by ex-apprentice finalist, Jim Eastwood was organised by the STEM Project. STEM (Sustainable Together through Environmental Management) is supported by the European Union’s INTERREG IVA Cross Border Programme and offers local businesses valuable support to boost their networking contacts cross border, identify cost savings in their business and gain a green certification.

Commenting on his role at Green Biz, former apprentice finalist, Jim Eastwood stressed the importance of businesses engaging staff when implementing environmental practices “The businesses that really succeed will be those that have a workforce which is fully on-board, enthusiastic and willing to put in a real team effort to reducing costs, increasing efficiency and, ultimately, save money through innovative environmental practices.”

The judges praised the heatboss product for its ease of use, affordability, its innovative smart technology and its ability to be installed either in a new build or retro-fit in many different sectors. Meaning a reasonable investment for a business could reap instant benefits in savings of on average 30% off heating bills. Businesses who have benefitted from installing this technology include care homes, offices and other similar high energy users who have saved thousands of pounds off their heating bills. heatboss has brought this technology to local businesses with such enthusiasm and excellent customer service delivered by a small team which has helped make the business a big success.
