The Patton Group featured prominently in one of the province’s top business awards ceremonies held in Belfast last week.
The local company picked up top prize in the Innovation category of the NI Business awards, sponsored by the Belfast Telegraph and BMI and was commended in the Corporate Social Responsibility category. However there was a surprise in store for representatives of the Patton Group when chairman, David Patton was revealed as the inaugural winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Professor John Simpson, who chaired the adjudication panel, commended Mr. Patton who has been in the construction Industry for more than 50 years, and outlined to the 450 strong audience something of his career history and how he had been and continues to be a driving force in the industry.
The Patton group fought off stiff competition to win the Innovation category in Recognition of a pioneering IT project that enables web-based document and information sharing between site-based and office-based staff.
