Curtis Toyota Ballymena also sponsored classes at the Causeway Coast Olympic Torch show, a major show jumping event in Portrush.

But Curtis Toyota Ballymena does not only support sports events, recently presenting cheques for £1000 to Watt Fun Community Playgroup and Coleraine High School as part of the Toyota Fund for a Better Tomorrow.

The TGB fund for a Better Tomorrow was launched to encourage and support financially community projects with which Toyota centres can be involved.

The money will be used by the playgroup to help with their herb garden and in teaching the children about road safety. The children will be learning about planting seeds, soil/compost, sun/light, growth and looking after seeds. The road safety event was linked to the North West 200 when the children had a visit from a motorbike rider and the local police road safety team.

Coleraine High School allotment club will use the money to purchase a polytunnel and it will also be used to create a nature trail in the school grounds. The allotment club grow produce such as soup vegetables, root vegetables and salad vegetables as well as flowers. Their produce is used in the school canteen and also in Home Economics classes.
