Planning is already well under way for the 2010 Ballymena Borough Business Excellence Awards which are organised annually by Ballymena Borough Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

This week the Chamber announced that Ulster Bank will be the principal sponsor for the 2010 awards.

Chris Wales, Chamber Business Development Manager, made the announcement following a meeting with Ulster Bank. He said

“Chamber is delighted that Ulster Bank has agreed to come on board as the principal sponsor for the 2010 Ballymena Borough Business Excellence Awards. It has supported the awards since their inception. Chamber really appreciates their support for the awards and also the assistance that they give us throughout the year. Ulster Bank is extremely supportive of the Chamber in many ways and we welcome their investment as our principal sponsor for this year”.

Chris continued “This will be the eighth year that Chamber have organised the Business awards. They have become bigger every year and are now a very important event in the Ballymena business year. This has been an extremely difficult year for many businesses in the Borough but I am confident that the business awards this year will be the best yet”.

Terry Robb, Head of Ulster Bank’s Ballymena Business Centre said "We are delighted to be principal sponsors of the 2010 Ballymena Borough Business Excellence Awards and help mark the creativity and success of Ballymena’s local businesses. At Ulster Bank, we are committed to supporting small businesses where we possibly can by providing a range of funding options. This year alone we have committed to lending £300 million specifically to SME's, and we are keen to support good local businesses. These Awards are a great opportunity to celebrate all that is great about our local businesses and we are proud to be associated with them for the eighth year."
